Dokan (Lite) – Best WooCommerce Multivendor Marketplace Solution

Use this plugin when the customer has products to sell from multiple vendors outside their own products, and they need a front end product management system for the vendor.

Setup Scope: 

We download, install, and enable this plugin. No API keys are required. Most information will need to be entered by the customer.

Requirements for Setup: 
Customer will need to take the reins and do most of the work.

Installation: 

1. Head to the “Plugins” menu, select “add new” and search for “Dokan”
2. Ensure the plugin is by “weDevs” and press “Install Now” then “Activate”

Configuration: 

Once the plugin is installed and active, you may be auto prompted with a setup wizard, you can dismiss the wizard as most of the remaining information will need to be provided by the customer in order to set up Vendor information. Now, in the WordPress dashboard, you will see a tab for “Dokan”. The Settings for “Dokan” will hold global information for things like the type of Commission (Percentage vs Flat Rate), Whether the site owner or the Vendor will be charged for Shipping and Taxes, Minimum Withdraw Limits, Page Settings, and more. Most of these settings can be either adjusted or refined within the Vendor profile. On the Vendor tab is where Vendor management will take place. All site users will display here, regardless of if they are a Vendor, Admin, or Customer. Admins can edit the Vendor information, activate or deactivate Vendors, and see all Products and Orders associated with that vendor.

How To Use:

You do not need to set up pages or themer layouts for Dokan. The layout for the Vendor Store Page is predetermined by the plugin. You can adjust the header of the Store Page in the “Dokan” Settings tab under Appearance, titled “Store Header Template”. You have only 4 options.
